Pre-retirement
Are you considering when or how to retire? What would retirement look like for you? How do you plan to stay mentally sharp, socially engaged and have a sense of meaning making? Perhaps you’ve considered wearing multiple hats—for example, writing, doing public speaking, teaching and consulting. Or it could mean creating a portfolio of work, leisure, volunteering, learning and travel. In any case, it means finding a customised solution that puts you in control of your life and provides a sense of satisfaction.
Retirement is not the end – it’s the beginning of a new and exciting phase in your life and career. Whether it’s forced or voluntary retirement, it is a big change in the status quo, and one should aim to navigate this change as well as you’ve navigated all previous changes in your life.
